Homes on the Pala Reservation are in high fire zones and subject to extended SDG&E outages. Without backup power, your home may spend days without electricity needed to power air conditioners, lighting, appliances, etc. The California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) just approved new funding through the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) for any home within any California Indian Reservation to install a battery backup system at no cost.* Applications for free home battery storage systems will be accepted starting on March 16th.
