Sales Development Representative

Job Description

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position is the first interaction between Swell Energy and the prospect. This position will be primarily responsible to communicate in a timely and professional manner with all potential new prospects to determine qualification and schedule meetings with the Swell Sales team. The Sales Development Representative will report to the Director of Sales. This position may be assigned “special projects” from time to time to communicate and sell potential Grid Service programs in specific markets. This is a remote position and will require an individual that is self motivated, well organized and excellent verbal communication skills.


● Take all incoming calls from Swell’s dialing system (5/9)

● Make outbound calls to inquiring leads through 5/9

● Contact all leads within 24 hours or receipt

● Take ownership/responsibility of lead as they come in

● Identify and update salesforce for proper lead source attributes

● Update 5/9 dispositions on calls

● Update Salesforce as needed

● Live transfer leads that request immediate support

● Report on daily activity

○ Total incoming leads

○ # of Calls (inbound and outbound)

○ Appointments Set

○ Leads Closed lost

● Work with management to determine lead distribution priorities

● Schedule/assign all converted leads

● Participate in Sales training (as requested)

● Support sales team with follow up calls

● Support sales management with Quality assurance calls


● 1+ years of sales/appointment setting experience

● Ability to self motivate and work in an independent remote environment

● 5/9 auto dialer experience is a plus

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

● Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to enthusiastically work within constantly changing priorities

● Experience with G-Suite and Salesforce, a plus

● Ability to work evenings and weekends

● Bilingual
