Job Description

As a Marketing Specialist for Swell Energy you will work across teams and constituents to craft world-class marketing programs to educate consumers and drive demand for an unparalleled slate of solar, storage, grid and financial products. You’ll be working with similarly inspired Sales, IT, Business Development, Insights and external partners to successfully deliver marketing campaigns, programs and tools that meet business goals and increase sales performance. Your experience and insight will enrich the perspective of the whole team, you’ll be sought for guidance and advice, and your creativity will be brought to bear across myriad marketing challenges.


  • In partnership with marketing team leadership and stakeholders, assist in execution of campaigns from concept to completion including content, design, creation, execution and analysis of Swell Energy Marketing campaigns and the ongoing evolution of the Swell Energy brand.
  • Manages partnerships with marketing vendors including printers, mailing houses and promotional items vendors including getting quotes, overseeing budget and negotiating costs to see deliverables through to completion.
  • Utilize internal platforms such as Storyblok, Autopilot, and Salesforce to build out campaign resources including light design, layout and deployment and track and report on performance.
  • Define and execute research to better understand our customer and marketplace to identify tactical opportunities where we can be most successful and better bring our message to market.
  • Coordinate and participate in virtual and in person community outreach events and projects
  • Assist in project management and steer projects from concept to completion
  • Assist with design and format of unique campaign and program collateral such as landing pages, brochures, digital ads, and mailers for various campaigns and programs
  • Post, manage and optimize social media efforts across various channels


  • 2+ years of Marketing experience working in cross-functional teams building, implementing and leading sophisticated programs across many partner groups
  • Strong preference for candidates with Renewables / Solar / Storage / Utility / Energy vertical experience
  • Background managing deliverables with outside vendors including managing project budget, negotiating costs and meeting project timelines
  • Experience using CRM/engagement marketing technology to drive business results, including Customer Relationship Management databases & Email Service Providers such as Salesforce, Autopilot, Marketing Cloud or similar
  • Advanced social media marketing skills across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Experience with collaboration in Google platform, including Google slides and Google docs and use of Gmail, Google meet
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented with an eye for proofreading
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities while meeting critical deadlines under pressure
  • Proactive, high achieving, out of the box thinker who takes direction well and is looking for an opportunity to advance their career with a rapidly growing company within a fast growing industry
  • Persistent task master who gets the job done with the ability to work around bottle necks to move projects forward to completion
  • Understanding of Google Analytics and ability to interpret email client and Google Analytic results while assisting in improving performance to meet desired ROI
