Job Description

The Channel Development Manager (Hawaii) will be responsible for the onboarding, training, and development of strategic sales and channel organizations that will partner with Swell Energy to build the next generation of our electrical grid. The ideal candidate for this role will understand how to build and manage a channel program to resell Swell’s Finance offers for solar, storage, and grid services programs (VPP Capacity Exchange). Building sticky relationships that last and deliver measured volume achievement goals will be paramount. The Channel Development Manager will report to the Director of Channel Sales. This is a remote position but must be located in HI and will require an individual that is self-motivated, well organized, and excellent verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, Optimize and Scale Swell's Finance Reseller and Capacity Exchange channel programs

• Develop ongoing relationship programs with partners to assure long term success

• Drive partner wallet share of sales through our various finance product offerings

• Develop KPIs to manage partner success, including regular score cards, tracking customer satisfaction, partner satisfaction, partner growth, partner profitability, performance compared to the rest of the network.

• Identify and develop “new” partnership opportunities

• Develop KPIs to manage partner success, including regular score cards,

• Develop and deliver regular lead reporting (scorecard) to partners that help educate and motivate

• Help maintain / implement and train partners to increase awareness of Swells products and services

• For partners that are also installation or distribution partners, collaborate with the operations teams to create and enhance processes and interdepartmental workflow efficiency

• Minimize attrition of partners

• Reporting back to the company on the health and wealth of Swell's network

• Attend networking and community events to develop relationships and increase brand awareness in strategic territories

• Promote “special programs and offers” when offered

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of solar experience in solar Finance channel development preferred or strong understanding of solar and energy storage finance and partner programs.

• Extensive background in building channel programs in either finance, software, solar or services - minimum 5 years

• Understanding of the Hawaiian solar market

• 4 Year college degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Highly entrepreneurial

• Success at building training programs and materials

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to self-motivate and work in an independent remote environment

• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to enthusiastically work within constantly changing priorities

• Experience with G-Suite and Salesforce, a plus

• Travel up to 30% of the time

• Located within the Hawaiian Islands

Compensation: $135,000- $140,000 annually plus Commission
