The primary focus of the Executive Vice President of Sales (EVP-S) will be creating and implementing the strategic plan for all residential sales and VPP customer enrollment activities at Swell. Reporting to the CEO, the EVP-S will create a corporate strategy, in concert with the Executive Team, to deploy capital raised and fulfill VPP contracts won in ways that meet overall corporate objectives. This individual will become the liaison to the Board of Directors representing the accomplishments, capabilities developed and the resources needed by the Sales Department to achieve or exceed the revenue growth goals established within the annual strategic plan. The EVP-S must understand the technologies, tools and the processes that the various sales teams employ so that they can help set appropriate short and long term goals as well as adequately budget cost required to accomplish the strategic plan. The responsibilities of the EVP-S also includes managing sales leadership, communicating the corporate vision and priorities so they can effectively focus their energy on accomplishing corporate objectives within a healthy and sustainable work environment.
Implementing the organization's vision and mission in overall direction
Formulating and implementing the annual strategic plans for Direct to Consumer (DTC) and Channel Team Teams
Preparing forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales team, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
Board reporting/presentation
Market Segmentation/TAM analysis
Representing the sales perspective in all new program development exploration
Meeting with major sales development opportunities including utilities, OEM’s, and organizations
New program development, budgeting, hiring and economic analysis
Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure quality messaging and lead flow
Managing high priority vendor and partner contracts and relationships
Evaluating the success of the organization
Maintaining awareness of competitive landscape, development and standards, and opportunities for expansion
Undertaking the responsibilities assigned by the president or the CEO
Ten years of relevant experience within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, with a strong track record of exceeding revenue track record
Demonstrated solar and storage industry sales experience preferred
Strong leadership and team building skills, as a servant leader with ability to coach and mentor sales department
Impeccable judgment and ability to communicate with senior management team and external stakeholders
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, to use data and metrics to provide recommendations, and drive actions
Extremely detail oriented, and comfortable multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment
